In the fall of 1946, a fifteen-year-old girl journeyed with her parents from the mountain village of Rovereto in Northern Italy to the bustling streets of New York city.
Rosa knew no English, but her cooking sure could talk. The family settled in Little Italy and Rosa further developed her cooking talents working in a number of local restaurants.
In 1952, Rosa married Sal Angelotti and they opened up Angelotti's Italian resteraunt. Rosa's old-world Italian recipes were a hit with the Big city and the rest is history.
Angelotti's family restaurant was in business for over 30 years before closing the business in 1988 due to the death of Sal Angelotti. Sal Angelotti died at the age of 76. He is very very much missed by his family.
These days, Rosa and her family now run a family catering business bringing old world Italian food to the West coast!
